Senior Technical Project Manager
Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan
Full Time
Manager/Supervisor
About the Role:
Codup is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead and deliver complex IT projects. You'll manage scope, timelines, and resources while maintaining quality and driving successful outcomes. This role sits on a team that uses AI-assisted workflows as core to PM practice — you'll leverage tools like Claude, custom internal systems, and automation to create project artifacts faster, iterate on plans more effectively, and focus your judgment on strategy and risk mitigation rather than manual documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical project delivery from planning through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the expected quality standards.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria collaboratively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, resource allocation strategies, schedules, and timeline forecasts, using appropriate tools and data to support planning and decision-making.
- Communicate project progress, risks, dependencies, and key updates clearly and effectively to stakeholders, tailoring communication to the audience and context.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and proactively address issues, dependencies, and potential delivery challenges.
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and forecast resource requirements while ensuring efficient utilization of team capacity.
- Lead cross-functional teams with clarity, mentorship, and accountability, fostering collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Leverage AI and automation where appropriate to improve productivity, streamline project documentation, accelerate reporting, and support data-driven decision-making while maintaining human oversight and judgment.
- Conduct post-project reviews and continuously improve project management processes, delivery practices, and team efficiency.
- Stay current with emerging project management methodologies, AI capabilities, and team-specific tools such as Claude Code and internal systems to continuously improve delivery and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field; PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certifications preferred
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects
- Strong foundation in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies
- Demonstrated proficiency with PM tools (JIRA, Microsoft Project, Asana, or equivalent)
- Comfort and demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) to accelerate your own work — you don't need to be an AI expert, but you should be willing to experiment, iterate on outputs, and evaluate quality
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving accountability
- Strong judgment: you know when an AI-drafted artifact is good enough to send, when it needs refinement, and when to do it yourself
