Codup preparing to migrate our website from WordPress to HubSpot Content Hub. We are looking for a senior HubSpot CMS specialist to lead the migration architecture, technical framework, and implementation approach from end to end.

This is not a ticket-execution role. You will work directly with our marketing, engineering, and project management teams to define how the website should be structured, migrated, built, tracked, and maintained.

The right person will combine strong HubSpot development expertise with genuine marketing judgment. You should understand that a CMS must support SEO, content operations, user experience, conversion, attribution, and long-term scalability not simply render pages.

What You Will Own

Migration Strategy

  • Conduct a complete WordPress content and URL inventory
  • Define content mapping, consolidation, and migration requirements
  • Develop a phased migration and launch plan
  • Create and validate a comprehensive redirect strategy
  • Protect existing SEO equity and minimize traffic, ranking, and conversion disruption
  • Establish pre-launch and post-launch QA and monitoring processes

HubSpot Architecture

  • Design the site and information architecture within HubSpot Content Hub
  • Define the theme, template, module, and content-model structure
  • Build scalable and reusable page components for internal marketing teams
  • Establish development standards and governance for future site expansion

Dynamic and Structured Content

  • Design scalable HubDB structures for case studies, portfolios, partnerships, ecosystems, and filterable content
  • Define metadata, taxonomy, relationships, and filtering logic
  • Recommend when to use HubDB, HubSpot native content types, custom modules, APIs, or external solutions

Custom Development

  • Build custom themes, templates, and modules using HubL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Extend HubSpot functionality where native features do not meet business requirements
  • Ensure components are responsive, accessible, performant, and easy for non-technical users to manage

SEO, Analytics, and Performance

  • Implement on-page and technical SEO best practices
  • Configure structured data and schema markup
  • Support SEO, AEO, and GEO requirements
  • Optimize Core Web Vitals and overall page performance
  • Advise on HubSpot tracking, attribution, consent management, and reporting
  • Explain where HubSpot analytics is sufficient and where GA4 or other tools remain necessary

Documentation and Handoff

  • Document the architecture, modules, templates, HubDB structures, and development standards
  • Provide clear guidance for content editors and internal developers
  • Conduct a structured handoff so our team can maintain and extend the website confidently

Required Experience

  • 4–5+ years of hands-on experience with HubSpot CMS or Content Hub
  • Proven ownership of WordPress-to-HubSpot migrations
  • Strong experience building HubSpot themes and custom modules from scratch
  • Advanced knowledge of HubL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Deep experience with HubDB and dynamic content architecture
  • Strong understanding of SEO, AEO, GEO, structured data, redirects, and website performance
  • Practical knowledge of HubSpot tracking, attribution, and analytics, including its limitations compared with GA4
  • Ability to translate marketing and business requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills

We are specifically looking for an engineer who thinks like a marketer and can confidently challenge, recommend, and lead—not simply follow instructions.

Nice to Have

  • HubSpot CMS or Content Hub certifications
  • Experience with HubSpot APIs and serverless functions
  • Experience developing infographic-heavy, capability, partnership, or ecosystem pages
  • Experience with complex filtering, personalization, multilingual sites, or multi-domain HubSpot environments
  • Experience working with agencies, B2B services companies, or technology businesses

What to Include in Your Proposal

Please include:

  1. Two or three relevant HubSpot CMS builds or WordPress-to-HubSpot migrations you personally led, with links where available
  2. Your specific role and responsibilities on each project
  3. A brief explanation of how you would approach this migration while protecting SEO equity
  4. Your view of HubSpot Content Hub’s biggest limitations and how you typically work around them
  5. Your recommended approach to HubDB and structured content for case studies, portfolios, and filterable pages
  6. Your availability, time zone, and typical turnaround time
  7. Your preferred engagement model and estimated level of effort for the discovery and architecture phase

Generic proposals that do not address the points above will not be considered.

Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates will participate in a focused interview with our marketing, engineering, and project management leads. The discussion will cover migration strategy, HubSpot architecture, SEO protection, analytics, and practical technical decision-making.

We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the solution, identify risks early, and build a scalable foundation our internal team can confidently manage after launch.
